The Committee have decided to move the show and conference away, with regret, from Scarborough
due to a considerable increase in costs that the Scarborough venue was imposing upon us.
Forty years ago, on 2nd-4th April 1971, the 13th Show and Conference was held at the City Hall in Hull.
In 2011 the 53rd Show and Conference will be held at
The Ramada Jarvis Hotel, which is 5 miles outside of Hull, just off the A164.
Click here for map. The hotel is a large 19th century manor house with large gardens and ample
parking. Room prices have now been decided and they are in line with the Weston prices. The room price is £55 per night for a single
room, and £65 per night for a double room. Breakfast is £7.50 and a 2 course dinner is £10 per person. NAWB have block-booked 70
rooms for the weekend; a cancellation charge of the full amount will be made for any cancellations less than 8 weeks prior to the
event.
This venue is a new idea where all the members attending will be under one roof for the whole weekend (if the weather
is bad we have no need to venture outside into it), which is a positive step forward for NAWB. The halls that we will use are on the ground floor, with access to the
show hall from the car park. There is a lift to the upper floor.
There will be a dinner dance on Saturday (2 course dinner for £10 per person will be included in the conference ticket price; menu
details are below; the menu booking form will be included with the show schedule) and music will be provided on both nights.
Full details of the Friday and Saturday evenings will be in the show schedule. We have negotiated to be allowed to bring our own
HOME-MADE wine and beer into the venue. Please, on NO ACCOUNT, bring any commercial drinks (alcoholic or otherwise)
into the halls on Friday and Saturday evenings. There is a bar available for the purchase of soft drinks, etc.
September 2010 - Bookings can now be made at the Ramada Jarvis Hull for next year's Show.

All bookings MUST be made by 7 February 2011. The full room rates may be charged after this date. Any rooms not booked by the closing
date may be charged to NAWB. Please book in plenty of time to avoid the charge being made to NAWB.
The menu for the Saturday evening dinner has been decided as follows:
Main Course: Roast breast of turkey with sage & onion
or: Smoked haddock and spring onion fish cakes with a hollandaise sauce
or: Fettuccini with mushroom and pesto cream sauce topped with rocket
Desserts: Pavlova with wild fruits
or: Fresh fruit salad
or: Cheese and biscuits
Tea and coffee will be available after the meal at an extra charge of £2 per person, payable on the night.
